UMA ÉPOCA PERDIDA NO TEMPO...MÍSTICA E MÍTICA!!

O deserto catingueiro, um clima árido e escaldante, um ambiente místico e feudal onde o poder e a ganância de poucos dominaram muitos por gerações martirizadas e famintas.

Um clamor por justiça rompeu abruptamente os limites da razão, dando origem a uma casta de sertanejos nômades, fortes e guerreiros; os CANGACEIROS - HOMENS DE COURO, que por décadas sustentaram o significado da palavra: LIBERDADE.

Um período arrebatador, porém obscuro, nos registros da história de uma Nação e de seu povo, visto como um episódio efêmero, mas que, na verdade, vai muito, muito além...BRASIL (nordeste - 1897/1940).

A série será composta de histórias, até o fim, que contam a saga em ordem cronológica de LAMPIÃO e seus homens, desde seu nascimento até sua morte, a morte de Corisco, o fim de seu grupo e seu movimento chamado "CANGAÇO".

Em 1985 Wilson Vieira inicia a produção da série e com os primeiros episódios concluídos, conseguindo reunir elementos de aventura, suspense, intriga e traição.

Procurando dar ênfase ao lado social da história, principalmente à vida de sofrimento do povo nordestino e o tormento de quem vive no sertão, sob os infortúnios da seca, sob uma ótica nova em Quadrinhos.

O leitor encontrará em suas páginas, abordagens sobre fome, clima, miséria e submissão muitas vezes forçada pela ameaça de morte, num mundo em que o poder sobre a vida e a morte vai muito além das cancelas das fazendas dos grandes latifundiários...

Também nessa época, o autor conhece a pesquisadora, jornalista e escritora Vera Ferreira, neta de Lampião e Maria Bonita.

Ela lhe foi apresentada pela maior autoridade em Cangaço, Dr. Antonio Amaury Côrrea de Araújo, autor de vários livros sobre o assunto.

The catingueiro desert, an arid and scorching climate a mystical and feudal surrounding where the might and greed of a few dominated many for martyred and famishing generations.

An outcry for justice abruptly broke the limits of reason, giving rise to a caste of nomad, strong, warring backwoodsmen; the CANGACEIROS - LEATHER MEN, who for decades sustained the meaning of the word: FREEDOM.

A ravishing period, yet obscure, in the records of the history of a Nation and its people, seen as an ephemeral episode, but which truly goes much, much beyond...BRAZIL (northeast - 1897/1940).

The series will be composed of through the end, stories telling the saga in chronological order of LAMPIÃO and his men from his birth to his death, Corisco´s death, the end of his group, and his movement called the "CANGAÇO".

Un grido di giustizia ruppe bruscamente i limiti della ragione, dando origine a una casta di nomadi, forti e guerrieri boscaioli; i CANGACEIROS - UOMINI DI PELLE, che per decenni hanno sostenuto il significato della parola: LIBERTÀ. Un periodo affascinante, eppure oscuro, negli archivi della storia di una nazione e del suo popolo, visto come un episodio effimero, ma che in realtà va molto, molto oltre... BRASILE (nord-est - 1897/1940). La serie sarà composta, fino alla fine, da storie che raccontano la saga in ordine cronologico di LAMPIÃO e dei suoi uomini dalla sua nascita alla sua morte, la morte di Corisco, la fine del suo gruppo e il suo movimento chiamato "CANGAÇO".
